This is the fourth full length album from the German/Swiss melodic power band Medusa's Child. These guys have crafted quite a solid niche in the European melodic metal scene over the last decoade or so and for good reason! They blend some of the best musicianship and songwriting with some very high quality vocals and melodies, borrowing from some of the best in the business while keeping things fresh and interesting.
With bits of power metal, prog, straight up rock even a bit of an AOR at times, yet at the same time keeping it firmly established in the ranks of metal to give them mass appeal to a wide variety of fans. They are one of those bands that could tour with just about any other band and not seem out of place, yet they do bring it all together with there own sound.
I am not exactly blown away by the album artwork, in fact I don't really get it at all, but then again you should never judge a book by it's cover or a CD either for that matter. With such good tracks as Empty Sky, Nevermore, Seeds I Sow and Remember You for instance the artwork can be forgiven.
Not everything on here really hits me as it does get a bit too mellow at times overall there is no questioning the incredible musical abilities of this vastly underrated band! Mucho Kudos!
